Partnering with UK landowners to store energy.

We’re working with landowners to identify suitable Battery Energy Storage Sites. If you have spare land, we’d like to discuss the possibility of subleasing an area on a 25-year rental agreement, which may be suitable for a BESS with a capacity of 20MW. We offer attractive annual rates of return; the process is straightforward and requires no commitment or obligation from you.

Operating across the UK and globally for over 30 years.

We operate a large variety of energy facilities throughout the UK and overseas, ensuring large businesses are supplied with reliable and affordable power – all day, every day. We also offer industry-leading, nationwide operations and maintenance support for all our projects. Each O&M package can be tailored to your solution, based on what level of support your business needs.

Our Projects

  • 328kW roof mounted solar PV system fully funded through our DPPA. The 25-year contract will save Marlin £1.5m over the contract and save 62 tonnes of carbon per year. The system will offset 30% of the current site load.

  • 328.13kW roof mounted solar PV system fully funded through our DPPA. The 25-year contract will save Marlin £261k over the contract and save 61 tonnes of carbon per year. The system will offset 77.8% of the current site load.

  • 2MW ground mounted solar PV system fully funded through our DPPA. The 25-year contract will save 475 tonnes of carbon per year. The system will reduce the business’ reliance on sourcing power from the National Grid.

  • 630kW roof mounted solar PV system fully funded through our DPPA. The 25-year contract will save 120 tonnes of carbon per year. The partnership will support Brown-Forman in its objective of sourcing 100 percent of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030.

  • This 6MW gas peaking plant required a complete refurb to ensure that it was running at full capacity. Our engineers we’re on hand 24/7 in order to allow this plant to balance the fluctuating power in the electricity network.

  • Glan Clwyd Hospital required O&M support for the Dorman and MAN engines that it has on site. We provide 24/7 support and the ability to diagnose and fix alarms or failures remotely.

  • Biogas Technology Ltd had invested in new 20MW generating plant to provide short-term operating reserve electricity back to the national grid. The plant consisted of 8 2.5MWe platform gensets with MTU 20V 4000 L64 gas engines. We we’re quickly able to offer a simplified O&M package.

  • SSE awarded YLEM Energy the contract to provide ongoing support for two CHPs in order to meet the service levels required. We implemented a short-term remote support agreement to make sure that no time was lost in getting the units back on.

  • YLEM Energy will provide O&M support for 10 Cummins HSK78 gensets with a combined power output of 20Mwe. The decision was influenced by YLEM Energy having its own peaking portfolio of over 100MWe.

  • YLEM Energy will provide O&M support for 42.5MW gas peakers trading on the capacity market. Triple Point’s assets include a fleet of 19 engines at peaking power plants in various locations across England.

  • This 6MW gas peaking plant is part of our portfolio of 19 sites across England & Wales. This plant will be used to balance the grid and provide reserve power during times of shortage or peak demand.

  • This gas peaking plant in Oxfordshire will generate 7MW of electricity to balance the fluctuating power in the electricity network and operate when demand is high or when there is a shortfall.

  • YLEM Energy designed, built and now operate a pioneering 1.2MW (1MWh) battery energy storage system. The battery energy storage system installed can store the equivalent energy required to power around 2,400 average homes with sustainable energy for one hour.

  • JCB appointed YLEM Energy to upgrade their outdated control system to our cutting-edge technology which is designed and built by our in-house engineers. Updating the existing control system allowed JCB to achieve 40% savings on their energy bills.

  • We upgraded the outdated automatic metering and monitoring system at the Ellesmere Port site. This helped Vauxhall to reduce energy consumption by 40% and is playing a significant role in the business’ drive to achieve net zero emissions by 2038.

  • The BEMS controls all aspects of energy use including heating and hot water as well as the site’s air conditioning and compressed air plant metering. This has helped Scapa reduce CO2 emissions by 338 tonnes per year, reduce gas consumption by 24% and electricity by 43%.

  • We successfully upgraded the BEMS at two sites for IAC Automotive. This allowed them to save over £130k on their energy bills by reducing their consumption by 76%. These savings also resulted in 425 tonnes of CO2 being reduced each year.

  • The heating on site consists of office boilers and warm air heaters for staff comfort and product protection. They identified a need for a Building Energy Management system following an ESOS audit. The outcome after the first 12 months was a 38% saving on their gas consumption.

  • Energy Solutions For Manufacturing Industry

YLEM Energy Optimise installed a BEMS system across two buildings the primary objective being to reduce energy consumption across numerous warm air, radiant and office heaters. The outcome was a year-on-year gas saving in excess of 35%.

  • YLEM Energy Optimise installed Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) on 40 extraction fans for Stanley. The installation has managed to save £84k per year and the VSDs integrated into the existing BMS site for full control on monitoring.
